About the Montverde Academy Girls Varsity Soccer Program.

The girls' soccer program is a direct bridge to some of the nation's top college and universities. With one of the top training programs in the state of Florida, the girls' soccer program is based on total athletic development in vision training, speed, mental toughness, strength training, personalized assessments, and most importantly working towards accelerated growth both on the field and off of it.

Girls Soccer Training and Structure

Most of the girls' soccer training is comprised of personalized assessments that help each athlete perform to their peak potential.

  • Fitness testing – speed testing – strength testing is done on a regular basis.
  • Video analysis.
  • Strength training 3 days a week for 45 min with proper weights/conditioning.
  • Assistance with the college process.
  • Focus on the four key ingredients of a soccer game.
    • Defending, attacking, transitioning from attack to defense, transitioning from defense to attack.
  • Help send players to play for their national soccer teams.
  • Partnership with the Orlando Kicks (WPSL) to allow our younger players to play with returning alumni and collegiate players. This is a summer program that was established in 2015.
  • On field training 5-6 days per week
  • Approx. 16-18 hours per week training -strength, technical, tactical and fitness.

MVA Fine Arts is among the best arts programs in Florida, allowing talented students to focus on their passion for music, theatre, and the arts. Media Arts have earned two National Student Emmys and a Scholastic Gold Medal in 2019. Since 2018, Theatre has earned six Critic's Choice awards, Top Honors at State contests, and Dr. Phillips Applause Awards. Our Music program has two All-National vocalists, 10 All-State musicians, and three musicians who earned the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall.
