November 10, the Lady Eagle's match took place. The Eagles left their nest and drove to Miami to start their preseason. The first challenge was against American Heritage School (Delray), ended up finishing the game 6-0. The key to the game was the teamwork, but who scored should also be recognized; Jody Brown opened the score, Alexis bounced the net twice, then Xashlie Negron and Gracie Sodremark closed the game with two goals.

Twenty-four hours later, the ladies fought their way to victory against American Heritage School (Plantation), with a tighter score of 2-1. The mindset was united by every athlete. The will of winning inside of each brave girl gave the strength to play outside their nest, under strong heat, and against tough opponents.

Girls Soccer preseason 2

"The first game was a good way for us to play as a unit. We tried platforms and specific plays that we already practiced. For the second game, our touches were a little bit all over the place. However, we were able to transition to defending very well. We didn't let any dangerous play occur," said MVA athlete Vivianne Bessette.

As a philosophy of the Montverde Academy girls soccer team, all hard work is rewarded. During their stay in Miami, the athletes were surprised with a beautiful day, full of energy at the beach. Some phrases and words mark your days and when hard times turn in joyful moments, thoughts start to come back to your mind. Every player remembers what Coach Robbie always says, "Enjoy the process of grinding it out. We have difficult training every day, hard strength programs, it's hot, but remember there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. You will grow stronger, more mature, resilient, and they can cope with the challenges so they can be a little bit easier. It's going to be hard but always going to be easier at the end!"

Regular Season Win

All athletes had to give their best in place of representing the weight of their shirts. Days were fought to achieve days of glory. After defeating East Ridge in their first game, the Lady Eagles are now 3-0. Bishop Moore is next up with an away game on Thursday, November 14 and then Edgewood at home on Friday, November 15.

About the Lady Eagles Soccer Program

With one of the top training programs in the state of Florida, the Montverde Academy (MVA) girls soccer program is based on total athletic development in vision training, speed, mental toughness, strength training, personalized assessments, and most importantly working towards accelerated growth both on and off the field. The Lady Eagles international roster is composed of 20 high-level athletes, led by Coach Aristodemo who is now entering his eighth season as the Girls Varsity Head Coach. The Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach Naji S. Khouri, is in his second year with MVA's Girls soccer program. This powerful duo, working together at Montverde Academy, has helped the Lady Eagles win a State Championship in May of 2018. It shows the program is on the right path to success.
