The Montverde Internacionale Futbol Club narrowly missed out on a State Cup Championship over the weekend, losing 5-4 in a penalty kick shootout.

Coach Robbie Arristodemo led his girls through an incredible run to the Finals, a perfect way to compliment their status as first place winners in the Sunshine Conference.

“Very proud of our group for making it to the finals with one kick or save a way from winnning the U19s/20 state championship,” said MIFC Director Robbie Aristodemo.

Our ladies left it all out on the field, playing two games in under a 24-hour period, which included double overtime in the championship match. The team accomplished this feat whilst missing some of the club's top players, making it all the more special.

Again, congratulations to our Lady Eagles on a fantastic finish to an incredible season!
