Montverde, Fla.— The Montverde Academy baseball team defeated Lake Highland Prep 12-1 at Francisco Lindor Field on Tuesday evening.
Victor Martinez and Anthony Cole both hit home runs in the contest. Martinez went 2-for-4 in the game and had a double as well and three runs batted in. Eric Correa went 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice.
Brian Ehrlich, pitched a no-hitter in the five inning affair. He allowed a run, no hits and struck out six.
Next up for the Eagles is the Florida League High School Invitational in Sanford. MVA's first game is at 2:00 pm on March 14th against Spruce Creek High School.
