The Montverde Academy girls' beach volleyball team was defeated by Hagerty High School 3-0 in the play-in game of the 2022 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSSA) regional tournament.

With the loss, the Eagles' season ends with an 11-6 overall record, Citrus League champions and FHSAA District champions.

Hagerty, who are now 13-0 on the season, advance into the state championship round on Friday.

The Eagles lost at pairs three, four and five, all scores were 2-0.
