Competing in their final regular season match before the FHSAA state series playoffs, the Montverde Academy golfed a season-best 138 as the Eagles defeated The First Academy 138-159 at Orange Tree Golf Course in Orlando on Tuesday.

Three Eagles golfed under par in the win. Sam Kozisek and Leo Kim led the way golfing a team co-best 33 (-3), while teammate Divan Eksteen scored a 34 (-2). Gabriel Urbina added a score of 38 (+2) for MVA.

Nutthachai Khamkhokgraud scored a 41 (+5) as a non-scoring competitor.

The Eagles ended their regular season with a 6-2-2 overall record and champions of the Citrus League and Lake County Cup.

MVA's next match on the links is Tuesday, October 24 for the district championship at Harbor Hills Golf Course in Lady Lake at 11:00 am.
