The Montverde Academy boys' golf team scored a season best 148 to beat South Lake High School 148-178 at Bella Collina on Tuesday afternoon.

Divan Eksteen and Nutthachai Khamkhokgruad had a team co-high 36 (Even) to lead the way, while Daniel Sanchez scored a 37 (+1) and Leo Kim had a 39 (+3) in his season debut.

Gabriel Urbina scored a 40 (+4) and Sam Kozisek had a 42 (+6) as non scoring participants.

The Eagles will turn their attention immediately to Wednesday for the Citrus League Championship meet at Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills.
