The Montverde Academy boys' golf team was defeated by The First Academy of Leesburg 150-168 at Harbor Hills Golf Course in Lady Lake on Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles were led by Divan Eksteen who shot a 35 (-1), while Sam Kozisek golfed a 36 (Even). Paxton Rivera shot a 44 (+9) over the nine holes, and Drew Glass ended the day with a 53 (+18).

MVA is now 1-1 on the season, and the Eagles are back in action on Thursday, September 7 for a match against East Ridge High School at Legends Golf Course in Clermont. Tee-off is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
