The Montverde Academy girls' soccer team was defeated by Ponte Vedra High School 3-2 on Saturday in the Eagles' 2023-24 regular season finale in Ponte Vedra on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops MVA's overall record to 11-4-1 on the season.

Estefania Gonzalez and Antonella Mazziotto had a goal and an assist each in the contest.

The loss by the Eagles was the first of the season against a team from the state of Florida.

MVA will now focus its attention to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) playoff series. The Eagles next game will be in the District playoff starting on either Wednesday, January 24 or Friday, January 26 at 7:00 pm. The FHSAA will release the bracket for the District playoffs on Sunday afternoon.
