The Montverde Academy girls volleyball team won two of five matches at the Swing for the Cure Invitational at Game Point Center in Orlando from October 4th to the 5th.

The Eagles went 1-2 in pool play. First MVA defeated Academy of the Holy Names 2-0 (25-20, 25-21) in the first match on Friday afternoon, before losing to Orangewood Christian 0-2 (24-26, 20-25) later in the day. Then on Saturday morning, to finish out pool play, MVA lost 0-2 (16-25, 23-25) to Lake Howell. In the final two matches of the tournament, the Eagles beat Harmony High School 2-1 (23-25, 25-19, 15-8) and lost to Trinity Catholic 0-2 (17-25, 16-25).

MVA is now 10-8 overall this season, and the Eagles are back in action on Tuesday evening for their final match of the 2024 regular season against Lake Minneola at 6:00 pm.
