The Montverde Academy girls' beach volleyball team opened its 2024 season splitting a pair of matches on Wednesday. The Eagles beat Timber Creek High School 5-0, before falling 4-1 to defending state champion New Smyrna Beach at the MVA Beach Volleyball Complex.
