Big news from Orlando! The Montverde Academy Middle School boys and girls soccer teams both won their respective Citrus League Championships on Thursday evening at Lake Highland Prep's soccer facility!

First, the girls completed a perfect season after beating Trinity Prep 3-1 in the championship game. The Eagles finished their season 12-0 overall and outscored the opposition by a combined 88-1 margin! Congrats to head coach Yasmin Del Valle and the rest of the 2024-25 Middle School girls soccer team.

In the boys championship game, the Eagles battled Lake Highland Prep to a 2-2 tie. Then after two overtimes of scoreless soccer, the teams went to penalty kicks to decide it where the Eagles outlasted the Highlanders 5-4 to claim the championship! With the Eagles ahead 5-4 in the PK battle, goalkeeper Leo Ulmann made the championship saving save to give the Eagles the right to hoist the Citrus League trophy! Congrats to head coach Zee Hichri and the rest of the boys Middle School soccer team!
