The road to Tallahassee will go through Montverde!

The Montverde Academy girls beach volleyball team has earned the No. 1 seed for the 2025 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Region 2 championship hence earning home sand advantage throughout the tournament.

The top seeded Eagles will host No. 8 seed Tampa Prep on Tuesday, April 29 at 4:00 pm. Should the Eagles win, MVA will host the semifinal round on Friday May 2 at 4:00 pm against the winner between No. 4 seed The First Academy and No. 5 seed Bell Creek. If the Eagles win that contest, they will host the regional championship on Tuesday May 6 against one of the other four teams in the bracket, including No. 2 seed Orangewood Christian, No. 3 seed Edgewood, No. 6 seed Brevard HEAT and No. 7 seed Lake Highland Prep.

The Eagles earned the top seed after winning the District 7 tournament last week and going 13-1 so far this season.
