The Montverde Academy girls beach volleyball team put the finishing touch on a historic regular season Thursday afternoon, defeating Hagerty High School 3-2 on the road to improve to 12-0 and complete its first undefetaed season in program history.
MVAÂ will now turn its attention to the 2026 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District Championship, where the Eagles will be the No. 1 overall seed. MVA will receive a first-round bye and advance directly to the semifinal round, set for Wednesday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the MVA Beach Volleyball Complex. They will face the winner of a play-in match scheduled for the day prior.
If MVA advances, the Eagles will return to the sand later that afternoon for the district championship match at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of the opposite semifinal.
The official bracket is expected to be released by the FHSAA in the coming days.
