The Montverde Academy girls beach volleyball team made program history Thursday afternoon, defeating New Smyrna Beach 3-2 on the road.

The victory marks MVA's first-ever win over New Smyrna Beach, snapping an 0-7 all-time record against the perennial powerhouse. With the win, the Eagles improve to a perfect 10-0 on the season.

MVA returns home on Wednesday, April 15 to face The Villages at 4:00 p.m.
