The Middle School sports programs are focused on developing sport and life skills within our young student athletes. Our Middle School coaches emphasize the importance of fundamentals as well as vital characteristics such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, determination and hard work. Students have the opportunity and are encouraged to participate in four different sports throughout the school year. Montverde Academy Middle School sports participates in the Citrus League.

If my child makes a team when will practices and games be?
Game and practice schedules will be provided by the coach during the first day of team tryouts. Games are held during the weekdays with the average start time of 4:30 p.m., but is subject to change based on team schedule and end of season championships. Practices are held weekdays, after school and are determined by the coach.
What grade does my child need to be in to participate in Middle School sports?
6th, 7th, or 8th grade.
Is there a fee for my child to participate in Middle School sports?
No, there is not a fee associated with Middle School sports.
Do I have to bring my student to away games?
No, the school provides transportation to any away games for uniformed players.
Are there cuts?
In the event that a large number of students try-out for a team there is potential for cuts.
