Montverde Academy Athletics

Elliot Hewling has been a coach with the Center for Basketball Development (CBD) since August of 2022.

He is a 2018 graduate of Palm Beach State College where he earned his degree in Information Technology.

A native of Westmoreland, Jamacia, Hewling considers Chris Edden his mentor. Edden served as Hewling's basketball coach during Hewling's college years and helped him make the successful transition into coaching. 

"When I made the transition from player to coach, he unlocked the door to make me a successful player development coach," Hewling stated. "Through his teachings I learned the importance of consistency and discipline. He had such a great impact towards me when I was a player that it was easy to decide to mold the next generation of basketball players."

Additionally coaching experience for Hewling includes having served as an assistant coach for the Palm Beach Cats AAU program.
