Jason Torres is the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance at Montverde Academy, where he oversees a staff of four fulltime athletic trainers and is responsible for the well being of Montverde Academy’s nearly 600 student-athletes.Â
Now in his eighth year at MVA, Torres brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida, the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the Lota Alpha Honor Society.Â
He is a 2017 graduate from the University of Central Florida, where graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. As a former multi-sport student-athlete, Torres competed in intramurals on campus, playing football, basketball, track and tennis.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Torres enjoys spending time with his family, whether it’s by the pool, at the beach, or exploring the abundance of springs. He also loves watching sports and staying physically active.Â
Originally from Hialeah, Miami, and raised in Orlando, Torres now resides in Clermont FL with his wife Amanda and their son Carter.
