Will Rodriguez has been with Montverde Academy’s Center for Basketball Development (CBD) as a staff coach since 2024. A lifelong athlete and student of the game, Rodriguez brings both passion and purpose to the court, focusing on the development of his players both athletically and personally.
Rodriguez earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences from the University of Central Florida. Prior to college, he graduated high school with an associate degree from Valencia College through dual enrollment.
A former point guard who has played basketball his entire life, Rodriguez also competed in baseball and track during his high school years. His experiences as a multi-sport athlete give him a well-rounded perspective that he now shares with his student-athletes in the CBD program.
Beyond coaching, Rodriguez is deeply committed to mentoring youth and helping athletes find their identity in Christ rather than in the pressures of competition. His faith and dedication to service are at the heart of his coaching philosophy.
Rodriguez's hobbies include reading the Bible, grilling, fishing, and spending intimate time with family.
Rodriguez and his wife, Marydalia, reside in Orlando, Florida, with their young son, Micah.
