For the first time in school history, the Montverde Academy boys tennis team are state champions. 

The Eagles defeated Miami Gulliver Prep 4-0 for the Class 2A team title.

"The kids deserved it," said Montverde coach Jaime Oncins. "We had a really good fight. I'm very proud of them."

Montverde adanced to the finals after defeating Jacksonville Bolles 4-0. 

Throughout the regional and state tournament, Montverde didn't drop a single set.
