MIFC Kicks Off an Undefeated Inaugural Season

The Montverde International Futbol Club (MIFC) started their early fall inaugural season, with undefeated records for the U15, U18, and U19 teams.

In the first game for the U18 State Cup team, against GPS Orlando, the Eagles were led by senior Jody Brown who completed her first career hat trick with MIFC. Following her outstanding performance was senior Eve Tsolakis who was the second-highest scorer for the game with two goals. Vivianne Bessette, Luisa Tucci, and Ava Campione all added goals of their own to put the exclamation point on a strong performance. Their next game will be in Miami against Port Orange SC on Saturday, September 28.

The U15 team has been firing on all cylinders outscoring their competitors by an average of four goals. In their first game against South Orlando SC, MIFC was led by freshman Isabella Flanigan with two goals and five other players scoring. Their next two matches proved to be a tougher challenger for the Eagles. In their second game against Florida Rush, the Eagles gave up one goal in the first half but managed to counter with three goals of their own. They would end up winning 3-1 and faced another close match against GSA winning 2-1 after a late second-half goal. In the final game of the weekend, the Eagles won 5-0 against Brevard Beachside Impact making their record 4-0 in their first start as a program. Their next game will be against Hunter's Creek on Saturday, September 21.

The oldest group, MIFC U19, won all three of their games with three or more goals scored and shutout each team they faced. In their first game back in August, the Eagles defeated Central Brevard Soccer Cyclones 3-0. In their second game, the Lady Eagles put on an incredible performance against East Orlando FC winning 6-0. It was an all-around effort from the team as six different players scored a goal. Tsolakis led the team in assists with two great crosses to Majo Contreras and Addie Gerken. In their final match of the weekend, MIFC defeated South Orlando SC 5-0 making their record 3-0 in their first start as a program. Their next game will be against GSA on Saturday, September 21.
"This is a great start to our first year as a program," said MIFC Head Coach Robbie Aristodemo. "The girls are working hard every day whether if it's in the gym or out in the field, they are taking advantage of every opportunity they have here and I couldn't ask for anything more."
