The Montverde Academy girls' volleyball team has now upped its current winning streak to six as the Eagles earned their sixth straight sweep with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-11) win over Lake Minneola High School on Monday evening in the Nest.

Thalita Marangon tallied a team-high 12 kills to go along with six digs, two service aces and two block assists, while Ana Julia Peixoto had nine kills and a .667 attack percentage. Taina De Lima Nunes had 23 assists, four service aces and six digs, while Isabella Johnson had nine kills. Luiza Manata added a team-high 13 digs.

The Eagles are now 12-4 overall and have won 18 straight sets.

MVA is back in action on Tuesday October 4 for a match at Central Pointe Christian Academy at 6:30 pm.

Earlier in the evening, the Eagles junior varsity purple team was defeated 0-2 (22-25, 23-25) by Lake Minneola in their 2022 season finale. MVA volleyball's junior varsity purple team ends their 2022 season with a 6-4 overall record.
