Lelia Susaia ripped a one out, two-run double to right-centerfield to score Paris Ford from second and Nevaeh Williams from first to give the Eagles the walk-off win as the Montverde Academy softball team defeated Baker County High School 2-1 at the MVA Athletic Complex softball field on Tuesday evening.

The win improves the Eagles to 14-4 on the season.
The double by Susaia broke Baker County's shutout bid and won the game with one swing in what was a pitcher's duel the entire game. Neither team scored through the first five innings, until the visiting Wildcats scored the first run of the game in the top of the sixth to make the score 1-0.
The Eagles' seventh inning game winning rally started when Ford doubled to left field to lead off the frame. Then with one out, Williams drew a walk to give the Eagles runners on first and second. Then on a 3-0 count, Susaia hit a ball that found the gap in right-center and rolled all the way to the fence, allowing Ford to trot home with the tying run and Williams to motor home with the winning run.
The Eagles picked up six hits on the night and were led by Ford who was 3-for-3 with a double and a run. Meanwhile Susaia was 1-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in. Colby Reish went 2-for-2, while Skai Albury reached base three times with three walks.
Williams earned the win in relief, going 1.0 innings and allowing no runs on no hits. Faith Fournier started the game and pitched 6.0 solid innings and allowed one run on six hits.
