Baseball Picks up Win over Iola Scandinavia (WI)

Montverde Academy baseball defeated Iola Scandinavia (WI) 21-0 at Francisco Lindor Field on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles scored eight runs in the bottom of the first to take a comfortable lead early and they never looked back.

Victor Martinez went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and five runs batted in, while Salvador Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs and four runs batted in. AJ Goytia was 3-for-4 with two runs and three runs batted in. Eric Correa had a home run in the contest.

Eagles' starting pitcher Matthew Heyl pitched 4.0 shutout innings and struck out 10 batters and allowed just one hit.
