The Montverde Academy girls' volleyball team served up a season-high 24 service aces and earned its fourth consecutive three set win by defeating Jones High School 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-12) in Orlando on Wednesday evening.

The win is the tenth of the season for the Eagles who are now 10-4 overall, winners of four in a row and nine of their last 10 matches.

Taina de Lima Nunes served up a team-high seven service aces in the win, to go along with eight assists and four digs. Fellow teammates Thalita Marangon, Gracie McClain and Ana Julia Peixoto each added three service aces each in the win. Evangeline DeClercq had two service aces and team-high of three kills and two block assists.

The Eagles are back in action on Thursday evening for a home match against Citrus League foe, Windermere Prep. The junior varsity gold team will play at 5:00 pm, followed by the varsity team at 6:00 pm.
