The Montverde Academy girls' basketball team suffered its first loss of the season as the Eagles lost to Bishop McNamara 61-56 in a winner's bracket game on Tuesday in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Eagles were led by Jaloni Cambridge with a team-high 27 points, while Vivian Iwuchukwu scored 10.

MVA is back in action for day three of the tournament on Wednesday morning and will play Hebron Christian at 11:00 am Eastern Time (9:00 am Mountain Time).
