The Montverde Academy girls' basketball team defeated Central Pointe Christian Academy 60-53 in Kissimmee on Wednesday evening.
With the win, the Eagles improve to 6-0 overall this season.
Three players scored in double figures, led by Jaloni Cambridge with 14 points, followed by Chloe Sotell with 12 and Holland Harris with 11.
Cambridge had a team-high eight assists, while Vivian Iwuchukwu had a team-high 12 rebounds.
MVA led 21-14 after the first quarter, and the Eagles were up 36-21 at halftime, en route to the win.
MVA will now have some time off for exams and return to action on for the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Arizona starting on Monday, December 18. Opponent will be announced soon.
