The second edition of Innerview with Oli is now available. Innerview with Oli, is a biweekly publication that is written and produced by Sports Media II student, Oli Paine.
In Innerview with Oli, Oli interviews an MVA student-athlete which is designed to give readers an "inner" view of the student-athlete.

Innerview With Oli Episode 2: Genesis Perez Watson
Genesis, a goalkeeper on the girls' soccer team, has attended Montverde Academy for two years. She has been part of the soccer team for both of those years, but has been playing soccer since she was four years old.
Genesis capped off her senior season as a part of a state championship team as the Eagles won the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) class 3A girls' soccer championship when Montverde Academy defeated Nova Southeastern University School (NSU) 6-0 at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand, Florida on Wednesday, February 22.
"I've created a new family with all of my [friends]" Genesis expressed. Playing soccer has lead to numerous amounts of friendships and relationships built for Genesis, which she believes will live on past her years at Montverde Academy. "This will be a team I will always remember," she explained.
A typical soccer practice for Genesis and other goalies on the team consists of the weight room from after school until about 3:45 pm, where she then has an hour of goalkeeping practice. "Soccer takes a lot of [our] time, and makes us very disciplined," Genesis expressed. "Sacrifices you make for the things you love."
Genesis is committed to the University of Central Florida where she will further expand her academic and athlete career for the next four years.
"I will try and put my name in the draft and see where that takes me," Genesis stated about her plans after College.
About Oli: Oli (Oliver Paine) is an 11th grade student at Montverde Academy and is a member of its baseball team, where he serves as team captain of the junior varsity squad.
