Montverde, Fla.— Montverde Academy Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Jacob Sloan as Assistant Director of Athletics.

Sloan comes to Montverde Academy from Orangewood Christian School where he has served as Athletics Administrative Assistant for the past two years. In his role with Orangewood Christian, Sloan served with game day operations, sports information, and social media manager. He also served as coach for several teams, including head coach for the varsity boys' basketball team and assistant coaches for the middle school basketball and varsity tennis teams.

Prior to that, Sloan served in a similar role with Altamonte Christian School for one year, where he also served as varsity girls' basketball head coach as well as a science and physical education teacher.

A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic, Sloan's experience also includes serving as an athletics intern at Forest Hills High School and a recreational worker at his Alma Mater for three years.

Sloan's appointment with the Eagles commences on June 1.
