The Montverde Academy girls' basketball team won a pair of games over the weekend as the Eagles went 2-0 at the 2024 St. James Martin Luther King Classic in Washington, DC.

The Eagles defeated Bishop Ireton 82-71 on Friday, before they beat Elizabeth Seton School 64-46 on Saturday.

MVA is now 16-1 overall this season.

In Friday's win, Jaloni Cambridge netted 35 points, while Vivian Iwuchukwu had 12. On Saturday, Cambridge scored 19 and Iwuchukwu 11.

The Eagles will now travel to Atlanta, Georgia to face Wesleyan for War Games on Monday at 2:00 pm.
