Montverde, FL (November 25, 2024) – Montverde Academy girls soccer player Lola Rey has been named the Montverde Academy Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 24, 2024.

Rey, a sophomore forward and midfielder, had an impressive week and played a vital role in the Eagles' two victories on the road against prolific opponents.

She started her week by assisting on a pair of goals in the team's 3-0 win at Gulf Breeze High School on Friday. She followed that up by netting a pair of goals herself in MVA's 3-0 victory over Navarre High School on Saturday to improve the Eagles to 7-0-0 on the season.

So far this season, Rey is second on the team in goals with four and is tied for second on the Eagles in assists with two.

Now in her third year on the team, Rey has netted nine goals and offered six assists in her MVA career.

Rey and the rest of the MVA girls soccer team returns to the pitch on Tuesday, December 3 for a home game against Lakeland Christian at 7:00 pm.
