Game 1: Brewster Academy vs. Long Island Lutheran

Nationally No. 15 ranked Brewster Academy pulled off a mild upset in the opening game of the 2024 Nike EYBL Scholastic Sunshine Classic presented by Fountain Auto Group as the Bobcats defeated Long Island Lutheran 67-50 Friday evening.

Brewster Academy led from start to finish and were led by Ebuka Okorie with 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting and three assists.

Meanwhile, Preston Fowler netted 13 points. Antonio Pemberton contributed 10 points and six assists off the bench.

The Crusaders were led by Dylan Mingo with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Nigel James had 12 points and four assists.

Game 2: Montverde Academy vs. Orangeville Academy

Nationally No. 3 ranked Montverde Academy opened the game with a  24-2 lead by the end of the first quarter as the Eagles won easily over Orangeville Academy 82-32 in the second game on Friday.

Montverde Academy scored 24 points in each of the first three quarters and led 72-14 after three periods of play.

CJ Ingram had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Kayden Allen and Dante Allen had 17 points each.

EJ Horton led Orangeville with eight points.
