To start the week off on Monday, the Montverde Academy girls' softball team defeated Lake Mary High School 11-5. Ari Jimenez went 3-for-4 with three runs and Elena Friedman added three runs batted in.
On Thursday, the girls' beach volleyball team lost to New Smyrna Beach High School 4-1 and defeated DeLand High School 3-2. Also on Thursday, the softball team defeated Rockledge 14-1. Ari Jimenez led the Eagles going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and Elena Friedman added five runs batted in. Also on Thursday, the girls' basketball team defeated Sidwell Friends 65-49 in the quarterfinals of the Chipotle High School Nationals. Jaloni Cambridge had a triple-double of 19 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists while Vivian Owichukwu added 16 points of her own. To finish things up on Thursday, the boys' basketball team defeated Arizona Compass 64-49 in the quarterfinals of the Chipotle High School Nationals. Cooper Flagg had a team high 16 points and Derik Queen added 14 points.
On Friday, the softball team defeated Dwyer High School 5-0. Elena Friedman went 2-for-3 with a run batted in. The baseball team was also on action defeating The First Academy 5-4 in eight innings. Federic Irving went 3-for-4 with a double and a run. Also on Friday, the boys' and girls' track & field teams competed in the Citrus League Championship with the boys placing 5th of six teams and the girls winning the championship. To finish things on Friday, the boys' and girls' basketball teams were both victorious in their respective semifinal games of the Chipotle High School Nationals with the boys defeating Columbus High School 84-70 and the girls' defeating Long Island Lutheran 79-78. For the boys, Cooper Flagg scored 28 points and Derik Queen added 16 points. For the girls, Jaloni Cambridge scored 33 points and hit the game winner as time expired. Chloe Sotell added 12 points in the win.
On Saturday, the softball team lost to Melbourne High School 1-0 and defeated Winter Springs High School 15-3 later in the day. Lexi Perez hit a grand slam and Danika Spinogati added a home run and three runs batted in in the win over Winter Springs.
To finish the week on Saturday, the boys' and girls' basketball teams won the Chipotle High School National Championships with the boys defeating Paul VI 79-63 and the girls defeating IMG Academy 61-53. For the boys, Curtis Givens scored 24 points and Cooper Flagg added 16 points. For the girls, Jaloni Cambridge and Vivian Iwuchukwu both scored 17 points.
