In a highly contested game at the La Porte Invitational in La Porte, Indiana, Montverde Academy narrowly defeated CIA Bella Vista 56-52.
Kayden Allen led the way for MVA totaling a game high 14 points along with 7 rebounds. CJ Ingram also had a strong game for the Eagles posting 12 points and 9 rebounds. Other scorers for Montverde include Hudson Greer with 10 points, while Trent Sisley, Hakeem Weems and King Gibson all added six each.
MVA went into halftime with an eight point lead but CIA Bella Vista played a strong second half to keep the contest close.
The Eagles are now 11-2 overall this season.
Montverde is back in action on Friday against Oak Hill Academy at the HoopHall Classic in Springfield, MA at 7:30 pm.
