Montverde Academy girls basketball claimed a 70-48 victory over Faith Family Academy on Saturday afternoon in The Nest.

Aaliyah Crump knocked down three of MVA's five three-pointers in the opening period, helping the Eagles take an 18-12 lead by the end of the first period.

Their momentum carried through the second quarter, extending the lead to 34-23 by halftime.  

The third quarter saw MVA widen the gap, building a 56-31 advantage. Faith Family Academy struggled to keep pace as the Eagles maintained control on both ends of the court.  

Saniyah Hall delivered an outstanding performance, leading all scorers with 26 points. Aaliyah Crump added 16 points for the Eagles.

"Definitely feels good, this is a top 20 team, we came out and got the dub," said Hall on the win.

This win gives the Eagles their fifteenth win and will be back in action against The Cannon School at the Whiteville Academy MLK Classic on Monday at 2:00 pm.
