Montverde, FL (January 29, 2025) – Montverde Academy is proud to announce that girls' basketball standouts Aaliyah Crump and Agot Makeer have been named to the prestigious 2025 McDonald's All-American Game roster. This honor recognizes the top high school basketball players in the nation, solidifying Crump and Makeer among the elite athletes in the sport.
Crump and Makeer's selection mark another milestone for Montverde Academy's nationally recognized girls' basketball program. The program continues to develop elite student-athletes who excel at the highest levels of competition.
The McDonald's All-American Game, set to take place in Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. And will showcase the nation's top girls high school basketball players. The event has a storied history of featuring future collegiate and professional stars, making it one of the most highly anticipated high school basketball showcases in the country.
Crump and Makeer are both transfer students who already had storied high school basketball playing careers long before enrolling at MVA and helping them get off to an 18-1 start this season
Crump, who is committed to playing collegiately at the University of Texas, is averaging 9.5 points per game this season and has a team-leading 3.8 assists per game this season. Makeer, who is undecided, is averaging 10.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game, while leading the team with 1.2 blocked shots per game.
Crump and Makeer's selection to the McDonald's All-American game marks the third time in the past four years that Montverde Academy girls' basketball will be represented in the prestigious game (Janiah Barker '22 made the team in 2022 and Jaloni Cambridge '24 made the team last year).
The game will be televised live on ESPN2 on Tuesday April 1 at 6:30 p.m.
