The Montverde Academy girls volleyball team is ready to begin its postseason journey as the top seed in the FHSAA District Tournament. The Eagles earned the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye after finishing the regular season with a strong 15-5 record.
Montverde Academy will open tournament play on Tuesday, October 14, facing the winner of Monday's play-in match between No. 4 Taylor High School and No. 5 Angeline Academy of Innovation. The semifinal match is set for 5:00 p.m. at The Villages Charter School.
With a win, the Eagles will advance to the District Championship on Thursday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m., where they'll face either No. 2 The Villages Charter, No. 3 Umatilla, or No. 4 South Sumter.
Montverde Academy enters the postseason as the defending district champions and looks to repeat after another impressive regular season.
