Montverde Academy girls basketball came up just short in the championship game of the 2025 Cherokee National Invitational, falling 63-62 to Grace Christian on Tuesday in Cherokee, North Carolina.

Kendall Perry led the Eagles with 19 points in the tightly contested loss, as Montverde Academy battled until the final possession.

With the result, the Eagles are now 9-2 on the season. MVA returns to action on Thursday, January 8, when they travel to Ocoee High School for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
