The Montverde Academy boys basketball team earned a 71-60 win over La Lumiere on Friday evening on day one of the IMG Event in Bradenton.

Hudson Greer led the way for the Eagles with 16 points, shooting an efficient 6-of-10 from the field, including two three-pointers. CJ Ingram added 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds, while Trent Sisley contributed nine points and six rebounds.

MVA set the tone early, shooting 72.7% from the field in the first quarter to take a 22-14 lead after the first eight minutes. The Eagles extended their advantage to 40-29 by halftime and led by as many as 17 points in the third quarter.

Montverde Academy outscored La Lumiere 40-28 on points in the paint. They also held a 26-22 rebounding advantage.

With the win, Montverde Academy improves its record to 19-5 overall and 7-3 in Nike EYBL play.

The Eagles return to the court on Saturday at 4:00 pm for a game against host IMG Academy in day two of the IMG Event and MVA's regular season finale.
