Montverde Academy boys lacrosse fall short to Bolles High School losing 11-3 loss at home on Friday evening.
After falling behind 1-0 by the end of the first quarter, the Eagles scored a pair of goals early in the second quarter to take a brief 2-1 lead.Brayden Long got MVA on the board with a goal twenty-four seconds into the second period, before a goal by Mason Eldridge less than a minute after that put the Eagles ahead.
The Bulldogs scored the next three goals and led the rest of the way.
MVA's only other goal came midway through the second quarter when Blake Kuhn netted a goal.
Bolles scored seven unanswered goals the rest of the way en route to the win.
Despite the loss, the Eagles got a stellar game from starting goalkeeper Sam Juhnke. The senior netminder made 17 saves for MVA.
The Eagles' next game is home against Bishop Moore at 6:30 pm on Tuesday.
