Montverde, Fla. (May 29, 2026) – Montverde Academy boys lacrosse student-athlete Blake Kuhn has been named a recipient of the prestigious USA Lacrosse Bob Scott Award, an honor recognizing excellence not only on the field, but also leadership, character, and dedication beyond the game.
A captain of the MVA boys lacrosse team this season, Kuhn played a key role in guiding the program while setting the standard through his work ethic and consistency. His performance earned him Team MVP honors, as he finished the season ranked first on the team in assists and third in goals.
Beyond his contributions at Montverde Academy, Kuhn has made a lasting impact across the broader lacrosse community. He regularly dedicates time to mentoring younger players by assisting with drills, film study, and lacrosse IQ development, as well as teaching the fundamentals of stringing lacrosse heads. Through involvement with multiple Orlando-area and travel programs, he has continued to grow his understanding of the game while earning widespread respect from coaches, teammates, and opponents for his leadership and support of others.
Kuhn's influence extends beyond athletics as well. He serves as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) leader and was recognized with a Coach's Award this season. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, reflecting his commitment to academics and service.
A proud student-athlete, Kuhn will continue his academic and athletic career at Drew University this fall. MVA congratulates him on this well-deserved honor and his continued success.
