The Montverde Academy boys' lacrosse team defeated Trinity Prep 12-4 in Winter Park on Thursday evening.

The win by the Eagles was their the sixth in the last seven games, and MVA is now 8-5 overall this season.

Gavin Ionelli scored a team-high four goals, while teammates Evan Flanagan, Corbin Pierce and Camden Fisher scored two each.

Andrew Chehansky started in goal and made eight saves in the win.

The Eagles return to action on Friday for a game at Calvary Christian in Clearwater at 7:00 pm.
