The Montverde Academy boys lacrosse team was defeated by Bishop Moore 17-1 in the semifinal round of the 2025 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 1A District 5 championship on Monday evening.

Blake Kuhn scored the team's lone goal, with an assist by Gavin Ionelli. Sam Juhnke made nine saves in the first three quarters, while Andrew Chehansky made another four in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles are now 9-9 and the MVA boys lacrosse season is on hold for now as the Eagles await to see if they will earn a berth into the 2025 Regional championship next week.
