The Montverde Academy softball team continued its remarkable season with a commanding 7-1 win over Foundation Academy on Tuesday in Winter Garden.
The Eagles improved to 21-2 on the year.
Addie Poe was a spark plug offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and two runs batted in. Miranda Murch also made her presence known, finishing 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and two runs batted in. Luna Taboas added to the Eagles' 13-hit tally, collecting two hits in four at-bats with a double and a run batted in.
The Eagles were equally strong in the pitching circle. Nevaeh Williams allowed one (unearned run) on five hits, while striking out 17.
MVA's next game is Tuesday, April 22 at Parrish Community at 7:00 pm.
