Montverde Academy would like to recognize boys lacrosse assistant coach Tom O'Grady who will be inducted into the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association (NILCA) Hall of Fame, Class of 2025.

Coach O'Grady has been coaching lacrosse for over forty years and has accomplished numerous milestones.

His stops include prestigious Universities such as The University of Florida, The University of Texas and Adelphi University as well as high schools Lyman, Winter Park, Newsome, Oakland Mills, Cedar Park and Vandergriff.

Among the many milestones in Coach O'Grady's career includes coaching Winter Park High School to a 21-0 record and the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state championship in 1999, becoming the first Florida public school to win a state championship.

O'Grady is also the only high school lacrosse coach in Florida to lead both a girls and boys team to a state championship game. He did that when leading the Winter Park girls team in 2002.

The most important things that Coach O'Grady loves about coaching is being able to grow the game as a coach, develop young athletes and build lifelong relationships.

Coach O'Grady, along with the other inductees, will be honored at an induction ceremony on October 18 at The Milleridge Inn in Jericho, N.Y.
