Montverde Academy girls golf turned in a strong effort on Tuesday afternoon at Bella Collina, but came up just short in a 141-147 defeat to Circle Christian.

The Eagles were led by Cynthia Yang and Michelle Jing Su, who each carded impressive rounds of 35 (-1). Camila Risoul followed with a 38 (+2), while Cassy Zhu rounded out the scoring with a 39 (+3).

Montverde Academy will look to bounce back in its next match this Thursday when the Eagles face The First Academy at Orange Tree Golf Course in Orlando. Tee time is set for 4:00 pm.
