The Montverde Academy boys golf team dropped its first match of the season on Tuesday afternoon, falling 144-152 to Circle Christian at Bella Collina. The Eagles now stand at 7-1 on the year.

Oscar Ricketts led the way with an even-par round of 36, followed closely by Carlo Guzman at 37 (+1). Saharat Chanagate carded a 38 (+2), while Michael Frasure finished with a 41 (+5).

Montverde Academy will look to bounce back on Thursday, October 2, when they face Mount Dora Christian Academy at Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills. Tee time is set for 4:00 p.m.
