The Montverde Academy indoor track & field team delivered a standout performance at the Legends of Alachua County Invitational, held at the Alachua County Sports & Event Center in Gainesville, highlighted by multiple event victories, a podium sweep, and a new facility record.
The biggest moment of the meet came in the girls 4 x 200-meter relay, where the quartet of Adriana Rodriguez, Nakira Hudson, Arima Turner, and Dasia Reed captured first place in 1:36.30, setting a new facility record for the fastest time ever recorded at the Alachua County Sports & Event Center.
Montverde Academy also dominated the girls 400 meters, producing a complete podium sweep. Dasia Reed claimed first place with a winning time of 54.56 seconds, followed closely by Rodriguez in second at 54.63 and Hudson in third at 54.93, showcasing the depth and speed of the Eagles' sprint group.
On the boys side, Samuel Johnson earned a first-place finish in the long jump, soaring to a winning distance of 6.84 meters.
