The Montverde Academy girls weightlifting program was represented on the state's biggest stage as two athletes competed at the Florida High School Athletic Association Girls Weightlifting State Championship.

Senior Colby Reish competed in the 169-pound weight class in the Olympic division. She recorded a 105-pound snatch and a 150-pound clean & jerk, finishing with an Olympic total of 255 pounds to finish13th overall in her weight class.

Junior Cali Flowers competed in the 199-pound weight class and took part in both the Olympic and Traditional divisions.In the Olympic division, Flowers posted a 135-pound snatch and a 155-pound clean & jerk, finishing with an Olympic total of 290 pounds. Her performance earned her an eighth-place finish.In the Traditional division, she recorded a 140-pound bench press and a 155-pound clean & jerk, giving her a Traditional total of 295 pounds to finish 13th overall in the 199-pound weight class.
