Montverde Academy girls soccer is headed back to the biggest stage in high school soccer.
The Eagles will compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association State Championships State Semifinals on Thursday, February 19, taking on Pensacola Catholic High School at 1:00 p.m. The match will be played at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale.
With a victory, Montverde Academy will advance to the state championship match on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Myrtle, facing the winner of the other semifinal between North Broward Preparatory School and Cardinal Gibbons High School.
The Eagles enter the final four with a 19-1-1 record this season. Montverde Academy is currently ranked No. 3 nationally and No. 1 among prep school programs, and the team is seeking its fifth state championship in program history.
